Mass. is tricky during a census. Next year may be even harder

Massachusetts? sizable populations of immigrants, college students, and renters make it one of the most difficult states to count during the census every 10 years. Boston, for example, has among the lowest census return rates in the nation.

Case of measles is confirmed in Boston area

A person living in the Boston area was diagnosed with measles Sunday, health officials said. The person visited a number of public places last week that put those people who are not immunized at risk of exposure.
