One man dies as fires, explosions rock Lawrence area

? One person is dead after more than 60 fires and at least three gas explosions in Lawrence, Andover, and North Andover.

? At least 25 others were injured in the fires.

? Emergency crews worked through the night to inspect and shut off 8,000 gas meters.

? State Police have not determined a cause. The state fire marshal's office said overpressurization of a gas main caused the incidents.
