When a Red Sox fan at Fenway hurled a racial slur at the Baltimore Orioles? centerfielder Adam Jones, the question of whether Boston is a racist city wasn?t just raised ? it had already been answered. And the answer for many, especially those who don?t live here, was: Of course. That image of Boston, in sports as in so much else, is part of our brand.
