Boston issues tickets for failure to shovel sidewalks

South Boston?s East Fifth Street was a challenge with mountainous snowbanks and covered sidewalks.

Property owners are responsible for clearing their own sidewalks and Boston is enforcing snow violations, an official said.

The Boston area could see 3 to 6 inches of a wintry mix beginning this afternoon, forecasters said.
