Albert DeSalvo’s body exhumed

Officials worked to exhume the casket of Albert DeSalvo from the Puritan Memorial Park in Peabody on Friday.

Investigators exhumed the body of the self-confessed “Boston Strangler” today to obtain a DNA sample to determine whether it matches evidence in a 1964 murder.
